Christopher S. Kälin (Managing Partner)

Christopher S. Kälin, CPP APMP Fellow, Managing Partner

Christopher S. Kälin is the founder of CSK Management.

He is an experienced management consultant with a broad international track record. Leveraging his consulting know-how and his broad industry expertise in the areas of marketing, distribution, strategy and IT, he supports companies in positioning themselves successfully in the marketplace.

His specialty is providing methods and tools for developing large and complex proposals in order to improve proposal quality and increase sales. He has extensive bidding experience, including nine successful mobile licence bids.

He held several positions with SONY Corporation, Arthur D. Little Management Consulting and IBM and gained comprehensive experience in various projects in Europe, Asia and South America.

He is also guest lecturer at the school of management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Further, he was chairman of the German speaking APMP chapter (Associated Proposal Management Professionals) and Regional Director for Europe/Africa. He is APMP certified at the Professional Level (CPP APMP). In 2013, he also received the prestigious Fellows Award.

He graduated in Business Administration and Information Technology from Zurich University.

Klaus Pohlmann (Partner)

Klaus Pohlmann, CF APMP, Partner 

Klaus Pohlmann is a partner at CSK Management.

He has an in-depth knowledge in the fields of Bid and Proposal Management, which he has acquired in different branches of various international companies over the past 20 years.

During his career path, he has held various positions at EDS, Sharp Electronics, Logica, Lufthansa Systems and Computacenter. His experience ranges from qualifying opportunities, leading and coaching international bid teams to negotiating contracts with customers and partners. His specialties are Risk Management, process improvement, international business development and on-site coaching of bid teams. As the responsible Bid Manager, he has managed many outsourcing deals, from opportunity qualification to contract negotiation, leading the bid team to cross the target line.

Klaus Pohlmann graduated in Economics from the University of Applied Science Giessen-Friedberg.

He is a certified member of APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals). He also serves as the chairman of the German speaking chapter. In 2017, he was awarded the APMP Fellows Award.

Matthias Rödter (Partner)

Matthias Rödter, Partner

Matthias is an expert for procurement and sourcing questions and knows the "opposite side" of proposal management like the back of his hand. In his role as partner of CSK Management and founder of the CMD Management Group, he brings more than 10 years experience in management and consulting.

Matthias was a manager with Mitchell Madison Group (later marchFIRST), where he not only lead various sourcing projects in the millions. He also has comprehensive IT know-how, has an extensive track record in organisation and process re-design as well as in strategy development.

At CSK, he is primarily involved in the assessment of IT proposals with regard to their content and sales aspect. He is also our specialist for developing large and complex RFPs.

He graduated in Business Administration and Information Technology from Zurich University.

His co-operation with Christopher dates back to 1994.
